I'll join you. I like the idea that it's just a short snippet each day.

I used to journal and have gotten out of the habit as well. I think it may be a lot like scrapbooking about ourselves...no one really wants to do it but it's important. How else are people later on going to know about us. Children, great grandchildren may love the pictures of the pool but does that really tell them anything about the person who took the pictures? What they liked, what they didn't like? I don't have kids yet but I tell my friends who do that it is important for them to leave something of themselves in the albums as well. I wish my grandparents had left journals of themselves behind. what great memories to cherish.

I like that idea! And I LOVE the page you did of your great-grandparents. You have such an interesting family. I'll give the journaling a try.

I love stuff like that from the older generations. It really puts things into perspective that we live in the easy times, compared to what our grandparents and great grandparents did back in those days. I keep telling myself to start keeping a journal as well, as I always did as a kid as well. However, I just don't do it. But I do write little things on my calender....like what we had for dinner, or that I went to Target that day, or the weather, or strange tidbits of information. I love looking back years later at them to see what we did on different days in the summer, and things like that. I did however, toss all the calenders a few years back, not realizing it when we moved. I could kick myself. But I am trying to keep up with it again now. It is more interesting now becasue we have 4 boys, so they days sometimes get so much written on them it is funny.
Have a great day.

I'll join you too. Sounds like a great idea, maybe I can come up with my own word too like your grandmother?

Yes, I'd love to do this. I'm keeping notes on the calendar already and use them for my scrapbook journaling. But the notes are mainly for my kids and things they said. I'm going to start making notes about what I did too. :o)

Alright, I bought a fresh new journal at lunch. I think this will be a fun journey with you!

I'm already doing the snippet thing, in conjunction with Project 365. It's amazing to look back over the past seven months and see what has happened around here, what we've accomplished.

PROJECT 365 INSPIRED ME TO KEEP A DAILY JOURNAL. I DID GOOD FROM JAN - APRIL AND SO-S0 BETWEEN MAY - JULY. I JUST BOUGHT A NEW POCKET DAILY PLANNER TO JOT MY DAILY THOUGHT OF MY FAMILY'S EVERYDAY LIVING. THANKS FOR THE INVITE, I'M IN.

I'll join the challenge. My daughter is getting ready to go away to college and I think I need to jot my feelings down as the time approaches (and well beyond that too).

I'll try to join you if I can remember to write something! ha.

First entry: I miss the beach--I want to go back!

Love your layout!

I'm in.

Unless it is gorgeous outside and I need to ride.

Bicycling trumps housework :)

I'm in! Especially since my twin daughters just started their Senior Year! This is a great idea!
