There is some major scrapbook goodness going on this week! QuicKutz and Hero Arts have teamed up to bring you a week of creativity and fabulousness using products from both companies on every single visual delight!
And not only is there some major sharing going on both blogs, but there's some major giveaways! Make sure you check out both the Hero Arts and the QuicKutz blogs every day this week! You won't want to miss a thing!
So I know you know I just have to play along in this craziness! I'll be sharing pages and projects this week too . . . and not just from me either. ;) Although, you all should be proud because I did three pages this weekend. I haven't done three pages in two months much less two days! Woo! Do I feel good! :)
In honor of my son hopefully leaving tonight (I'm anxiously awaiting a long phone call tonight--if he didn't get sick), I thought I'd make a page about the thoughts and feelings I had when we came home after dropping him off at the MTC (I wrote this all down and took photos two months ago). He'd left his phone on the piano (his normal dumping spot), shoes--and dirty socks--still on the porch, pile of clothes laying on the floor . . . just all these little reminders of what we won't be seeing for two years. It just made me think of all the little things that wouldn't be happening for two years.
Supplies used:
Houndstooth background and title: Silhouette (QK)
Flourish and dotted circle stamps: Hero Arts
Cardstock and Zing embossing powder: American Crafts
Mini tag: Making Memories
I already told you but it is worth repeating: LOVE this layout SO much! The journaling is so touching and the stamping/die cutting...perfection! Looking forward to the rest of your shares this week! HUGS!

Awww! That's so sweet, Kerri! You can't even make a surprise visit to see him up there?
I guess I just don't "get it"...Sounds isolated and sad to me :( Being cut off from your family at such a young age for 2 years is torture to my heart!!!
Waaa! Hope you're doing okay.
